It’s better to give than to receive. But what happens when an elderly woman to whom you have given money for awhile, and even skipped lunch so you could donate, pulls up in a 2013 red Fiat? You’d feel duped like Oklahoma City resident Daniel Ayala, who was furious when the elderly, homeless panhandler who claimed she was 78, widowed and too poor to buy food, drove past him.
Brandi Newman, also duped, recorded and uploaded the video to Facebook while at Shell. Here’s what he said:
“This is crazy! You are asking for money in the middle of street and you drive a 2013 car? Listen, I work hard for my money. I don’t appreciate this s—. And that’s why people like you take advantage of people like me. This is bull—-! You drive a better car than me!”
She claims it’s not her car and she’s waiting for her son.
“So you’re telling me you’re not going to drive this car? he quizzes. “I work f—ing hard! … 40 hours! I see you hungry, I give you, every day, $3, $2 — Thursday, I did not eat to give you $4. I better not see this car tomorrow.”
