Since he put this New York-based wine and spirits company on the map, it only makes sense that Jay Z would acquire the potentially lucrative enterprise.

Another day, another big business move for the Carter family. According to the New York Times, a new company led by Hov has recently acquired Armand de Brignac Champagne aka Ace of Spades, making him the new face of the brand.

On Wednesday Nov. 5, former owner Sovereign Brands gushed about his sale saying:

“We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac (‘Ace of Spades’) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowned Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter,”

Yvonne Lardner, global director of brand communications for Sovereign, added: “We have had a wonderful relationship with Jay Z throughout the years since he first discovered Armand de Brignac. He became interested in owning the brand and made us an offer we simply couldn’t refuse.”

Although the details of Jay Z’s new deal have not yet been released, we’ve come to learn that anything this man touches turns to gold. – Ruu Hawkins/@ruubabie
