In 2013, the queen of pop music, Beyoncé had one impressive year, pulling in $53 million. While many thought she could do no more, Mrs. Carter surprised us with a self-titled disc and went on tour with her rapper husband Jay Z, resulting in more than double the increase in earnings in 2014. According to Forbes, Bey earned $115 million this year, making her the top-earning woman in the music industry.

“Beyoncé played 95 shows during our scoring period, bringing in an average $2.4 million per city, according to Pollstar. She added endorsement deals from the likes of H&M and Pepsi PEP +0.17 percent — plus her self-titled surprise album, which hit iTunes in December 2013 and quickly became one of the year’s top sellers — to send her income into nine-figure territory,” reports Forbes.


Close on her heels is country, pop singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, ranking at second place with $64 million, the highest mark of her career. Swift can thank her fans for copping tickets to her live shows, recorded music sales and endorsements for Diet Coke, Keds and CoverGirl for her success this year.
