Smoot called Jackson “disgruntled” and says she has made up this entire storyline as a way to get back at him for breaking up with her. According to Smoot’s lawyer, Jackson “has elected to engage in a campaign to defame Fred and ruin him both personally and professionally.”
Smoot was arraigned and released on a $2,500 bond.
