Big Sean’s ‘IDFWU’ hits No. 1: But is it about Naya Rivera?

Congratulations are in order to G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean.

The Detroit native’s new E-40 featured song, “IDFWU” just hit the top of Billboard’s Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs charts, but the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not the song is aimed at his ex-fiancé, Naya Rivera.

One listen to the following lyrics and one would see it’s not a big stretch that the song could indeed be about the “Glee” actress.

“I heard you got a new man, I see you takin’ a pic / Then you post it up, thinkin’ that its makin’ me sick / I see you calling, I be makin’ it quick / Imma answer that s— like: “I don’t f— with you” / B—- I got no feelings to go /I swear I had it up to here, I got no ceilings to go.”

According to Sean he actually had written the song before he and Rivera’s relationship went south.

“I was honestly just putting myself in a perspective,” Sean said. “As an artist, you just kinda have to do that, sometimes. It’s funny how records sometimes relate to you later on, sometimes they don’t. Obviously, [‘IDFWU’] kind of is my situation.”

This is Big Sean’s third number one single. His previous number one songs include “Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay” from his debut album Finally Famous and the posse cut “Mercy” from the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer.
