While Hollywood Walk of Fame alum Bill Cosby was having his star defaced, another Black star nabbed top honors on the coveted strip in downtown Hollywood, California.
On Thursday, Dec. 4, hitmaker Pharrell Williams became the latest A-lister to get his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By his side, was his wife, Helen Lasichanh; son, Rocket; and talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres.
Oddly enough, Williams’ ceremony fell on the same day he released a statement regarding the meaning of happiness in an opinion piece published by the New York Times.
“It’s not possible to experience constant euphoria, but if you’re grateful, you can find happiness in everything. While I’ve expressed gratitude many times for what my song ‘Happy’ did for me personally, I will never stop saying thank you,” he wrote.
