Birdman responds to Lil Wayne's campaign to leave Cash Money

If you thought Lil Wanye’s leaving his only ever recording home was as simple as a few emo tweets and a rant at a party, Bryan “Baby aka Birdman” Williams would like you to know that you are sadly mistaken.

According to TMZ, “sources close to the situation say that Birdman is livid over Wayne’s very public claims that Cash Money is sabotaging his career by not releasing his much anticipated Carter V album. He simply says there is a lot of paperwork involved in releasing an album that Wayne isn’t privy to and that he needs to exercise more patience. We’re told that Williams says the album will come out when ready and not simply because Wayne wants it to be released.”

“Birdman also made it clear that Wayne is under contract and he will go to court, if necessary, to ensure that Weezy fulfills the terms of the contract,” TMZ reports.

Wayne is not the first Cash Money Millionaire to have grievances with the business dealings of the label.

Hot Boys members Juvenile, B.G., and Turk all parted ways with the label in the past citing shady business. Star producer, Mannie Fresh, who along with Baby, was a member of the group The Big Tymers, also left the fold over money issues.
