Over the past four years on “Love & Hip Hop,” fans have grown to know Erica Mena as a fiery and downright belligerent woman with a penchant for bad romances. But now that Mena is engaged to Bow Wow, she says that things in her life have changed and that she’s more concerned about being a better woman than being a reality TV star.
Mena opened up about her relationship with Bow Wow in a new interview with “Ebro in the Morning” on Hot 97, where she explained why Bow Wow won’t be seen on this new season of “LHH.”
“No. Where I’m at right now and the commitment that we’re making is more important than that — I think you get to that point. I’ve always been open about my life. I’ve even gone as far to write a book about my life, going as far back to my upbringing. I’ve opened myself up to the world. For the first time I really want to keep something to myself. And I want to keep it to myself because this is going to be for the rest of my life. I have to build this foundation properly,” Mena explained.
Mena also dismissed talk that her relationship with Bow Wow is fake.
“We’ve been friends since 2006, we’ve just never been romantically [together],” Mena explained.
And that’s not all she had to say. Read her thoughts about prenups, as well as her decision to leave or stay with “LHH” after the cut. –nicholas robinson
