Compton based rapper YG and producer DJ Mustard have squashed their short lived beef that recently played out on Instagram.
Earlier this week, Mustard, who worked on YG’s critically acclaimed debut album, My Krazy Life, complained on Instagram that he had not received compensation for his work. YG then took a screenshot of Mustard’s post, uploaded it and included the following rant directed at the producer:
“Wait what? @djmustard F**K YOU N***A. F**K EVERYBODY THATT AINT GOT PAID FOR MY ALBUM and DJ MUSTARD I KNOW WHERE YO STUDIO AT N***A & …….. THATS ME SAYIN “MUSTARD ON THE BEAT H*E”. YOU AINT NEVER PAID ME FOR THATT OR YO ALBUM N***A.”
YG then posted a picture of his cell phone’s call log that showed he had repeatedly reached out to the producer to take care of the matter to no avail.
Thankfully cooler heads prevailed. The pair sat down and worked out their differences as shown by the picture below that they both recently posted to their Instagram accounts:
YG’s post included the caption, “Me & bro @djmustard squabbled up and got it over wit. 2015 is the takeover 4realz. Bless up Yall.”
Their beef and subsequent reconciliation comes on the heels of their recent collaboration, “2015 Flow”, which was recorded in response to Grammy committee’s snub of My Krazy Life, which many believe should have been a contender in the “Best Rap Album” category.
