Arletha Alexander, 46, was performing a head-bobbing move on Mario Espinal, 33, that would get her turned away at the pearly gates. On Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, Alexander allegedly bummed a ride home from Espinal when they were spotted by a police officer who was traveling northbound on a Williams Boulevard in Kenner, Louisiana. Espinal, who was headed southbound, failed to turn on his headlamps, which raised the Kenner officer’s suspicions.
The officer wrote in his report that he drove up behind the moving car and turned on his overhead lights. Instead of pulling over, the driver cruised about four blocks as he and his passenger began to “scramble” around in the vehicle. The officer saw Alexander make her way back to her own seat. He also noted the activity taking place in the car could be plainly seen by any pedestrian they passed.
Espinal confessed to the officer that Alexander offered oral sex for a ride home. Alexander denied the claim saying she wouldn’t do such a thing because she didn’t even know Espinal.
Espinal was booked with obscenity, prostitution, crimes against nature, driving with no license, failure to obey a police officer, failure to use headlights and having no registration certificate and is being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. His bond was set at $6,950 on the charges related to the traffic stop. However, he’s being held without bond on a fugitive charge.
Alexander was booked with prostitution, obscenity, crimes against nature and four traffic attachments and her bond was set at $9,500.
