Even more gore is in store for actress Rutina Wesley.

The Las Vegas native, who starred as Tara Thornton on HBO’s hit vampire drama “True Blood” has just signed on for season three of NBC’s critically acclaimed series “Hannibal.”

Wesley will take on the role of Reba McClane, a blind woman who draws the attention of the Red Dragon and ends up being the last best chance of humanity for Francis Dolarhyde.

Fans of the story will be anxious to see how Wesley adapts to the new role as she comes behind Joan Allen and Emily Watson, who both portrayed the character in 1986’s “Manhunter” and 2002’s “Red Dragon.”

Season three of “Hannibal” is set to debut this coming summer.
