This is definitely a new low for the cast of “16 and Pregnant.” Valerie Fairman, 21, who appeared on the second season of MTV’s controversial show highlighting expectant teens in toxic relationships, was arrested Thursday in New Castle County, Delaware, along with seven other women as part of a prostitution sting.
According to a statement issued by Delaware State Police, a particular neighborhood along Maryland Avenue south of Wilmington and New Castle Avenue was targeted “in response to numerous citizen complaints about prostitution and other quality of life crimes that have been occurring.” The arrests stemmed from a joint effort conducted by the Delaware State Police New Castle County Governor’s Task Force, Delaware State Police New Castle County Drug Unit, the New Castle County Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.
Fairman, who is listed as a resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, was the youngest of the eight women arrested. Also arrested were Brook Hatfield, 23, of Wilmington; Stephanie Brown, 26, of Newark; Dawn Price, 32, of Newark; Jaquya Fairley, 34, of New Castle; Lindsey Taylor, 30, of Newark; Kristina Weaver, 33, of New Castle; and Leslie Larkin, 54, of Wilmington. Police said that each was issued a criminal summons for a later court date. According to TMZ, Fairman is still in custody.
Fairman first came to fame when she starred as a 15-year-old raising her newborn, Nevaeh Lynn Fairman, as she tried to convince her boyfriend, Matt, that he was the baby’s father on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant.”
