Without a doubt, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for Tyga. From getting dissed on a song by his labelmate, Drake, to getting dissed by Amber Rose for allegedly dating teenaged Kylie Jenner, the “Rack City” rapper has surely seen better days.
In a recent interview with Hot 97, Tyga and BFF Chris Brown sat down to give their opinions on a few hot-button items that have kept people talking and social media abuzz.
When asked (again) about his relationship with 17-year-old Jenner, the 25-year-old rapper stuck to his story of the two only being good friends.
“The more your friendship grows, it keeps growing. It’s all about a friendship, that’s all it is. People [can] say anything,” he said.
The topic of Drake seemed to be more of hot issue with both Tyga and Brown as they both questioned the Canadian rapper’s authenticity.
“It’s about being genuine,” Tyga said. “Yeah, we [were cool with each other]. I thought we was [sic] too. That’s the game, though. That’s just people who camouflage with this s—.”
Brown then echoed Tyga’s sentiments about the “Know Yourself” rapper.
“”[Rappers] get a voice, then that voice is super fake,” Brown said. “They give you an interview just like this, then when you see us, it’s like, ‘Uh … no. We’re not getting no check from talking about dude. We’re giving him all this pub. We’re us. I can’t keep making these motherf—–s famous. I’m responsible for reviving a lot of careers.”
It doesn’t look as if this war of words will be over anytime soon. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments.
