Demetria McKinney and her leading man, Keith Carlos, winner of “America’s Next Top Model” cycle 21, bring the heat in her new video “Trade It All.” Carlos is Tyra Bank’s first male winner since adding men to the competition. We take you behind the scenes on set with music video director Derek Blanks, celebrity photographer-turned-music videographer. Derek Blanks and his film crew captured the most breathtaking shots of McKinney in this sensual video where she bares all revealing what she would give up for love.
There were actually four different love interests in the video of different cultures posing in different love scenes with McKinney expressing the relationships she had a chance to have but she doesn’t care about anything besides being with her main love, Roger Bobb (portrayed by Keith Carlos). A much younger, muscular, stylish Roger Bobb that is. The video is titled “Trade It All.” Should Demetria trade in Roger Bobb for the new, young and improved likes of her leading man, Keith Carlos? Of course not. We know where her heart is.
Regarding the inspiration for the song and video, Demetria had this to say: “The song is about what we would give up for love. I wanted the video to reflect what is going on in my relationship and my real life, which now blurs the line between entertainment and reality. I had to feature my cast mates Cynthia and Claudia because we are genuinely friends on and off the screen.”
From the behind-the-scenes pics you will see McKinney has enlisted her glam team “Dallas the Stylist’ and her faithful makeup artist who have constantly supported her throughout the past couple of years (at least the stylist). Dallas is a newbie to the glam squad and doing a fantastic job. McKinney’s mom, Maria Harper, was responsible for the beautiful fits we see McKinney in throughout the video.
