Reality TV and gospel music superstar Deitrick Haddon is forging a new partnership with indie music giant eOne Music.
Under the new deal, Haddon will release new music on his own label, DHVisions Records, in addition to developing and producing TV and film projects.
Haddon says he’s thankful to find a like-minded partner in eOne.
“As I sat down with Phil [Thornton, eOne Music’s VP/GM of urban inspirational] and the entire eOne team, I realized we have the same goal, and that’s to unapologetically push Gospel music to new heights,” Haddon said. “It’s rare to find a label that’s on the same page as the artist. I feel that my music and my vision are in good hands with eOne. Let’s go.”
Haddon’s first project with the new label will be a solo album slated for a fall release. The “Preachers of L.A.” star is also hard at work on a collaborative song titled “My City” that will feature Dorinda Clark Cole, Fred Hammond, J Moss, Kierra Sheard, Shelby 5, and R&B artist Kem. The artists are scheduled to perform the single at the upcoming 30th annual Stellar Awards in Las Vegas on March 28 with the show set to air on TV One on April 5.
In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, Haddon said that fans can look forward to him “diving into” a new movie project this year as well. His previous film credits include 2010’s Blessed & Cursed and 2012’s A Beautiful Soul.
