Hip-hop artist Azealia Banks will make history when the April 2015 issue of Playboy magazine hits newsstands as the first hip-hip artist to appear on the cover and in a nude pictorial for the iconic magazine.

The cover and 10-page pictorial were shot by Ellen von Unwerth and is featured in Playboy’s annual April Sex & Music issue. The pictorial was inspired by Le Chat Noir, French for “the black cat” and she is shown on the cover with a black cat atop her head. One might imagine that a Playboy shoot involving black cats was quite interesting.

The issue also features a revealing interview with Banks and Playboy contributing editor Rob Tannenbaum. In the interview, she talks about being in a relationship with a man more than 25 years older than her, emulating Jay Z, her sex life, the Playboy call coming in, and much more.

Azealia is appearing on the cover as she embarks on a tour, with dates at Coachella Festival on April 10, Club Nokia on April 16, again at Coachella Festival April 17, Irving Plaza in New York City on May 11, Concord Music Hall in Chicago on May 15, and Paradise Club in Boston on May 19.

The Playboy issue with Banks on the cover will be on stands nationwide Friday, March 20, 2015, and her most recent album, Broke With Expensive Taste is available online and in stores.
