So apparently everything you know about former NBA player Gilbert Arenas off the court, is a sham … In a recent post, Laura Govan’s ex-fiancée shuts down all rumors surrounding he and his four-time baby mama. The most shocking reveal? That her $1 million “engagement” ring was fake!
We all have many questions. Did Arenas really abandon Govan while she was pregnant? Were Govan and her children ever homeless? Did Arenas rob Govan of her $1 million engagement ring? Well, first let us provide you with a recap of their roller-coaster relationship…
Notorious for their break up to makeup tendencies, and conceiving a love child or two or more along the way, it would seem that there was more love than foul between these two, but there isn’t. Earlier this year, the former “Basketball Wives L.A.” star filed a lawsuit against her ex-fianceé for allegedly kicking her out of their Los Angeles pad and selling her $1 million engagement ring.
But it didn’t stop there… In 2010 Govan claimed that Arenas abandoned her while she was pregnant with their fourth kids, leaving her no choice but to pack up and to move from Washington, D.C., to Orlando, Florida, (following his trade to the Orlando Magic). Without saying goodbye, he cut off all communication. Then in 2011, Gilbert issued a lawsuit against Govan and “BBW” producers prohibiting them from talking about him on the show. The suit was later dismissed and the two reconciled.
And just when we thought the dust had settled, earlier this month, Govan shared that she had suffered a miscarriage. Yes, that’s right. After all the drama, she was allegedly pregnant with baby number five. Now, Arenas is here to set the record straight. With one quick reply, the 33-year-old puts all the gossip to rest.
