Plies was attacked by an angry fan during a concert at Club Coliseum in Tallahassee, Florida. During the concert on April 3, a man approached Plies and stood face to face with him.
Plies told the fan he was too close and slightly pushed him back. The fan became angry, grabbed Plies and body slammed him off the stage. Plies yelled, “Color Money” before he was dumped off stage.
A cell phone video of the incident went viral and dozens of memes were uploaded on Instagram to poke fun at the situation.
The angry fan, who goes by the name Moody Green, released a video explaining why he slammed Plies. In the video, he drinks from a kitchen faucet and appears to be severely bruised.
“I told my friends I was going to try to shake his hand,” Moody Green said in the video. “When I was in high school, his manager you use to be cool with me. When I made my way to the stage, security moved me back, but Plies called me back to the stage. I told Plies I wanted to shake his hand and told him he was one of my top five artists. He started to talk [reckless]. So I dropped him like any real n— would do. All I got to say to Plies is that I still [like] your music, but I don’t like how you tried me.”
Plies released several rap hits between 2009-2012, but his career was on the downswing afterwards. He made a resurgence in the past few months by posting his twisted, yet hilarious, views on Instagram.
