Have Lil Wayne and Birdman reached a truce? We knew the dynamic duo Cash Money/Young Money men couldn’t stay angry with each for long. There’s too much money on the table. But what caused the changed of heart on Lil Wayne’s end or was it from the viewpoint of his legal team?
According to court documents filed April 6 by Lil Wayne, the $51 million lawsuit was dropped without “prejudice,” meaning he could refile but for now the documents show Wayne wishes to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit against Cash Money.
Birdman never responded to Wayne’s previous allegations in his January lawsuit of being burned for tens of millions for his still unreleased album, The Carter V. Wayne requested the court allow him to exit his contract due to the breach by Birdman and Cash Money. He also wanted a court order stating he was the rightful owner of all copyrights related to Drake, Nicki Minaj and others. Crickets was the only sound coming from the Birdman’s camp in response.
