Baltimore’s chief prosecutor Marilyn J. Mosby charged six officers in the death of Freddie Gray, 25, who passed away at the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center on April 19, 2015. The fatal spinal cord injury was sustained while being transported to the Western District police station.
One of the most profound of the charges was against Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr. who was driving the van. He was charged with second-degree depraved heart murder,” which means indifference to human life.
