SWISH.
That’s the name of Kanye West’s new album. On Feb. 28, the rapper announced that his seventh studio album would be titled So Help Me God, and he shared a photo of its cover art featuring a religious symbol via social media.
Yesterday, however, the 37-year-old revealed on Twitter, that he’s had a change of heart… “I’m changing my album name to SWISH,” the hip-hop star tweeted on Sunday. “I might change it again but that’s the name now,” he added.
Although it’s unclear when SWISH will receive a release date, he has since released several new songs, such as “Wolves,” “All Day” and “Only One,” a tribute to he and wife Kim Kardashian’s 1-year-old daughter, North West, and has been featured on Rihanna’s “FourFiveSeconds” alongside Paul McCartney.
During a chat with Power 105 FM radio show “The Breakfast Club,” West stated that the new album is about “just embracing the music, embracing joy and just being a service to the people.”
While the new title may seem a bit random, “swish” appears to bear a special meaning for West. In March, following the season 10 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” premiere which featured Kim, 34, taking part in a nude photo shoot, Kanye posted several screenshots of his wife, captioned, “SWISH!”
