Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be vacating New Orleans, but music’s most powerful couple, Jay Z and Beyoncé, are moving in. According to Zillow, the Carters recently forked over $2.6 million for a historic pad in New Orleans’ posh Garden District. Named La Casa de Castile, the Spanish Baroque mansion first housed the Westminster Presbyterian Church before being turned into a ballet studio. Now, the 1925-built home, which boasts 13,292 square feet, and is equipped with 26-foot high ceilings and three separate apartments, serves as a residence.

Featuring a sophisticated open-concept design and stunning hardwood floors throughout, the luxury Nola pad has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms among its 22 total rooms and is outfitted with rich red details, chandeliers and an antique claw-foot bathtub. The three-story space also includes a rooftop deck — the largest residential green roof in the city of New Orleans, with sweeping views of the Crescent City.

As residents of the Garden District, Bey, Jay and little Blue Ivy will have prime access to New Orleans’ most popular areas. And just around the corner is the home of Bey’s dear sister, Solange Knowles, who also owns a boutique (Exodus Goods) in the French Quarter.

It sounds like the Carters have set themselves up for a little quality family fun. For an inside look at Bey and Jay’s church-turned-mansion, check out the gallery below.
