Rihanna does it again. The Barbadian beauty made history this week when she debuted as the first woman of color to become the face of the iconic French fashion house Dior.

During an interview with MTV News, RiRi spoke about the significance of her big feat and what a good feeling it is to nab such an honor. “It feels fantastic,” she gushed. “It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any color. I think to be acknowledged by Dior, it means a lot for a woman to feel beautiful, elegant and timeless. ”

In the Secret Garden IV FW2015 ad campaign, shot by fashion photographer Steven Klein, the “Fly” recording artist is captured in all her glory, at the Palace of Versailles, wearing a variety of gloomy but glam looks coinciding with their “nightmare” theme.

This is the fourth installment of the “Secret Garden” campaign series, which launched in 2012 and was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Rihanna was styled by Mel Ottenberg, whom she’s worked with in the past, rocking ensembles from the Esprit Dior collection shown in Tokyo in December 2014.

The bal gal joins the likes of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence on Dior’s image quest.
