For those who had the good fortune to meet Atlanta marketing and communications professional Margaret Kargbo, you know what it’s like to be graced with a sweet soul who exuded professionalism and was teeming with creativity. Kargbo, the CEO of iWonder Media Group, who dubbed herself “creative matchmaker,” took her last breath doing what she does best, working hard.

Via her social media account, we witnessed Kargbo take the 30-miles-a-day journey with Frank Barham on his Wheel2Live campaign to bring awareness to disabilities. That fateful journey from Atlanta to Savannah sadly ended on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 when a loaded gas tanker tractor-trailer crashed into a van, sending the van crashing into a man in a wheelchair that was riding down GA Hwy 21, near the Effingham/Screven County line. According to the Georgia State Patrol, that “van” was driven by Kargbo, 36, and the man in the wheelchair, Barham, 59, were killed in the accident.

Kargbo’s passenger, Carrie Johnson, 34, was injured and airlifted to the Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta. According to the Department of Public Safety, the wheelchair traveled across the left lane into the median and caught fire. The driver of the van was removed before the van became fully-engulfed.
