Sex on the beach has led to prison time for a man in Florida. According to reports by WPTV in West Palm Beach, Jose Caballero, 40, and Elissa Alvarez, 21, decided it would be a good idea to have sex at Manatee County Beach.
However, it was broad daylight and families were also enjoying the beach. At some point, Caballero began moving in a sexual manner while on top of Alvarez as others watched. One woman said her 3-year-old son witnessed the sexual act that was also captured on cell phone video.
The woman reportedly asked them to stop, but Caballero became confrontational. He and Alvarez were eventually arrested.
During their trial, both were found guilty of lewd or lascivious exhibition in front of a child, a second degree felony. They will both have to register as sex offenders.
Alvarez was sentenced to time served, but Caballero didn’t get off easy. A convicted drug dealer who served eight years in prison, Caballero was sentenced to 2 and a half years for the sexual act.
His attorney says he plans to appeal.
