Last night it was all about the kiddos as Nickelodeon held its 2015 Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. Hosted by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, it kicked off in Los Angeles, Calif.
While last night’s show wasn’t nearly as emotional in comparison to the ESPY’s, which aired the night prior, the show was a total blast, which included games, A-list athletes and loads of slime. Nick Cannon opened the show by taking the stage padded head to toe with a Nickelodeon blimp attached to the top of his helmet.
Why the pads? Because Best Breakthrough Athlete, Mo’Ne Davis, had six chances to throw a baseball to crack that blimp. She got it on the second try. Ciara’s new man, Russell Wilson, even jumped in at one point by making himself the slime target.
As for the winners, Stephen Curry came out on top, but what made the moment extra special was that he brought his daughter Riley along with him. The adorable 2-year-old stole the show yet again when she showed true excitement after hearing her father’s name being called for the win.
