Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle spent the last couple of years beefing with each other senselessly online, even though, up until last month, they’d never even met each other. But at the BET Awards, the two feuding ladies were finally able to squash their beef and hit the stage together for a performance with Patti LaBelle. But even though Braxton and Michelle have officially ended their feud, Braxton recently explained that fans shouldn’t expect them to be BFFs now.
In a recent Power 105.1 interview with Angie Martinez, Braxton spoke about her BET Awards performance with K. Michelle and explained why she’s fine with just being at peace with K. Michelle.
“Let me just be honest about it. That weekend is the first time I met her. We not [sic] homies… we’re just cordial. BET did put us together and it wasn’t awkward, but yes it was awkward at first, but she sang, I sang, then we went home. We didn’t go out for dinner or drinks, you know what I’m saying? There’s just no beef,” Braxton said.
Well, after all of the shade these ladies threw at each other, we’re just glad that they’re not at each other’s throats anymore. Let’s just hope that they can keep the peace and inspire other stars to let go of their egos and make peace with their industry enemies as well.
