Elisabeth Hasselbeck put her foot in her mouth and insulted the Black community this week when she blasted the “Black Lives Matter” movement, calling its members nothing more than a hate group. Now, her former “The View” co-host, Rosie O’Donnell, has a shady response for Hasselbeck.
The drama all began on a recent segment of FOX News’ “Fox & Friends” when Hasselbeck was discussing the murder of Houston deputy Darren Goforth last week by a Black suspect and decided to take aim at “Black Lives Matter.”
“Why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?” Hasselbeck said.
Since then, she’s given a pseudo-apology for the statement, but O’Donnell decided to respond to Hasselbeck’s statement on her Twitter page.
O’Donnell then took aim at her other nemesis, Donald Trump, with a retweet.
Kudos to O’Donnell for defending the “Black Lives Matter” movement and calling out ignorance.
