Amber Rose has been promoting her upcoming Slut Walk for months now and is calling on women across the nation to show up and support her efforts to end gender inequalities and slut shaming. And now Rose is calling on some famous female faces to help her make the event a success, and one woman in particular who she wants to come is Ciara.
According to Rose’s site, the Slut Walk will be held on Oct. 3 in Los Angeles, California and the site describes the event as:
“This event is hosted by The Amber Rose Foundation, a non-profit organization Amber started to support her core mission of uplifting, empowering, and enhancing the platform of women across the globe. The money received from donations to this event will be used to bring this event to life with on-site services such as HIV testing, sexual awareness booths, food vendors, merchandise vendors and a host of other services. But most importantly, your donation will support our foundation and groups and organizations of women who have been subject to slut shaming, a lack of implication of double standards, sexual assault, and even rape.”
The site claims the event is now sold out, with 6,000 attendees scheduled to come. This weekend, Rose was promoting the event on Twitter when she began mentioning famous women she’d like to have come by the Slut Walk.
In a tweet, Rose spoke about Ciara’s recent controversy involving her ex-fiancé, Future, blasting her for letting her boyfriend, Russell Wilson, spend time publicly with their son, baby Future. Rose publicly defended Ciara against the criticism and hoped her message of combatting misogyny would connect with Ciara.
