Janet Jackson is on fire!

On Sept. 24, the iconic superstar released the dance jam, “BURNITUP!” featuring longtime collaborator Missy Elliott. Throughout the week, Jackson previewed some of the lyrics via Twitter and Elliott had previously called the cut a “clubbangger.” “Working with Janet is unbelievable. Although we are great friends and have been for so long, I am still her biggest fan. Sometimes, I still have to pinch myself when I call her and she picks up the phone or texts me because she is still Janet Jackson!” the rapper, 44, told E! News in a statement. “The superstar that I would run to the TV to watch her videos and dance moves, so for me I’m honored to be on any Janet record. I’m humbled whenever she asks because she inspires and continues to inspire me, always!”

In early September, Jackson revealed the track list for her upcoming album, Unbreakable, which does not include any other artists besides Elliott and J. Cole on “No Sleeep.”

Jackson, 49, gushed over working with her old gal pal in a separate statement to E! News saying, “It is always great to work with friends and Missy is a dear friend. It was only natural for the two of us to record a song together. We had a great time and we hope you guys enjoy it.”

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who returned to produce Jackson’s Unbreakable album, also expressed high hopes, saying, “Janet and Missy working together is a case of one plus one equaling 10.”
