Lamar Odom’s two children, daughter Destiny, 17, and 13-year-old son Lamar Jr.,13, have released a statement thanking fans for their support and asking for continued “prayers” for their father.
In a statement to CNN, the pair said, “Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers.”
According to reports, Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, arranged to have the former NBA star’s children flown to Las Vegas to be at their father’s side at Sunrise Hospital in Nevada. They were accompanied by their mother Liza Morales, Odom’s ex of 10 years, and Lamar’s father, Joe Odom.
Sadly, as of Thursday, E! News reports that Odom’s condition remains “no better, no worse.”
“Nothing’s changed. Everyone is praying for a miracle,” a source told E! News, adding that doctors are preparing loved ones that, should Lamar’s brain be functional, it could be a very “long term” process of coming out of a coma.
As previously reported, Odom was discovered unconscious on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Nevada, where he was staying while partying for several days at Dennis Hoff’s Bunny Love Ranch. Odom was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he was treated by physicians prior to being transferred to Sunrise Hospital. Although Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kris Jenner reportedly departed yesterday, Khloe remains by his side.
