Lamar Odom’s nearly lost his life last week when he was found unconscious and comatose after an alleged drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. At the time, doctors weren’t sure if Odom would survive the ordeal, but luckily his health steadily improved and he’s now off life support and on the road to recovery. However, reportedly Odom isn’t out of the woods just yet.
According to TMZ, doctors have told Odom and his family that he’ll have to undergo several months of rehab involving physical, speech, and other therapists.
Another report also claims that Odom is being moved to an L.A. area medical facility to receive specialized treatment to deal with his numerous unresolved medical issues. Doctors say that Odom may have permanent damage from the ordeal, but the extent of any possible damage is unknown for now.
However, Odom won’t have to go through his recovery period alone. The Kardashians have been by Odom’s side since he first went into the hospital last Tuesday and although Odom and Khloe Kardashian both signed divorce papers, their divorce won’t be finalized for months, so Khloe ended up making many medical decisions for Odom while he was unconscious.
Sources say that Khloe has no plans of leaving Odom’s side and that she plans to help through the next several months of therapy. It’s unclear what that means for Khloe and Odom’s relationship, but as far as we know she’s still dating James Harden.
