A person of Interest is being interviewed by the Chicago police, in response to the murder of Tyshawn Lee in the Auburn Gresham community of Chicago on Nov. 2. Tyshawn was shot in broad daylight on his way to his grandmother’s house. So far, $35,000 has been raised to find Tyshawn’s killer. Rumors are circulating that he was killed because they could not get to his father.

Pierre Stokes, the boy’s father, spoke with the Chicago Tribune and denied having anything to do with the murder of his son. He went on to say that if someone were looking for him that he is not hard to find, because he is in the neighborhood every day.

Stokes told the Chicago Tribune he felt guilty that he was not at his Tyshawn’s side when he walked to his grandmother’s house Monday afternoon.

“To be honest, I feel bad,” he said. “I feel like it’s my fault.”

Speculation is still swirling around this story that this may have been some type of gang retaliation. Tyshawn’s mother, Karla Lee, has set up a gofundme account to bury her child.

We hope that the individual being interviewed by the Chicago police can shed some light on this sad situation. We also hope that his father is being forthcoming with regard to his involvement. Nothing he was potentially mixed up in is worth him losing his child.
