NeNe Leakes caused a major media stir earlier this week after she appeared on “The View” and blasted the daytime talk show hosts for being “mean girls” and asking intrusive questions. Since then, the internet has been blowing up with talk about the feud and now Leakes is explaining why she felt the need to shade “The View” hosts.

As previously reported, the drama started when Leakes sat down with the ladies and they asked her questions about her new home that she was showing off and why it had no furniture, her up-and-down relationship history with Gregg Leakes, and her political stance on Donald Trump.

“Just sat down with a bunch of mean girls turning up their noses, looking u up & down as if u don’t belong,” Leakes tweeted after appearing on the show. She later deleted it from her timeline.

In a new interview with “E! Online,” Leakes spoke about her beef with “The View” and maintained that she felt the ladies were being rude to her.

“If you invite me into your house, have some manners and treat me nice. That’s all I’m saying. Again, people think sometimes that you are something that you’re not just by watching you on reality TV — and I get it. I understand that reality TV may make people think something of you that may not necessarily be true. So, sometimes when you enter a room people are thinking — or they already have their guard up — or their boxing gloves up — thinking you’re going to enter with an air or something,” Leakes said.

Read what else she had to say about her experience on “The View” as well as her thoughts on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” after the cut.
