It was a interesting week on the Billboard Top 200 Chart as there were no debuts able to make the top 10 for the first time in months.

For the second week in a row, Adele dominates the music sales totals as her latest album, 25, continues its hold on the marketplace. The LP, which broke a number of records by selling over three million in its opening week, continues its hot streak with another 1.16 million impressions (1.11 million were pure sales) this week.

With a grand total of 4.49 million in sales over the past two weeks, 25 now accounts for 30 percent of all albums sold in America over that same period of time.

Elsewhere on the chart, because there were no new albums to crack the top 10, we have lots of shuffling about and a couple re-entries in the mix, including Taylor Swift’s landmark 1989, which after spending a week at No. 11 eleven, rocketed its way back to No. 5. Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller, Michael Buble’s Christmas, and Now That’s What I Call Music 56 compilation also made substantial leaps back into the top 10.
