It’s no secret, that Nicki Minaj isn’t one to back down from a Twitter feud. So this week, when her credibility as an entertainer was being called into question, she took her critics to church.
Shortly after gossip site Bossip started a Twitter conversation about the lack of female rappers in the industry and followed it up by retweeting a user that commented, “Yep, men are visual creatures they don’t care if you can sing … That’s why Nicki had to buy an a– to blow up! #Fact.”
Minaj, 33, fired back with both barrels.
“Not giving me my props doesn’t stop me from being great. I am a mogul. Your hate is what made this possible. Lol. Thank uuuuuu! Mmuuaahhh!!!,” she responded.
But she didn’t stop there. Check out how Minaj took her critics to school below.
I’ve gone toe to toe w/everyone of your favorite male MC’s. To undermine my skill & diversity as an MC is actually comical @ this point. ???

I saw Bossip retweeting ignorance so I figured I’d put that out there. Lol. The greats give me my respect. The great journalists as well.

If a male rapper was on tracks w/Wayne, Jay, Eminem, Kanye, etc going ROUND 4 ROUND he’d b hailed as a GREAT as well. Jealousy is a disease

To imply someone’s a– is the reason they get on tracks and hold their own with every great MC who is still alive ? black ppl, do better lol

Regardless of her naysayers, Minaj will continue to walk away with big nods like the three Grammy Award nominations she earned this week; including best rap album for The Pinkprint and best rap performance for “Truffle Butter.” What are your thoughts on Minaj’s success?
