Bill Cosby is fighting back against some of the women who have accused him of rape. According to recent documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Cosby, 78, is suing seven of the 50 women who came forward with rape allegations.

The women include Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie. The lawsuit states, “Mr. Cosby’s suit further states that defendants’ multi-decade old, false, uncorroborated, opportunistic allegations of sexual assault have caused and continue to cause him to suffer substantial injuries and damages to reputation, business contracts, shame, mortifications, damages to property, business, trade, profession and occupation.”

After comedian Hannibal Buress made a joke regarding Cosby’s sexual assault allegations in 2014, a multitude of women began to step up and claim that they were drugged by the star comedian against their will.

Cosby has maintained his innocence and has yet to be convicted of a crime. However, his legacy has been tarnished. Since the news of his suit against the women broke, many have expressed their opinions on Cosby through social media.
