Don Lemon sticks his foot in his mouth.
During the live airing of the New Year’s Eve ball drop, the television news anchor led viewers to speculate that perhaps he’d had one too many libations while ringing in the new year. “I have to say Kathy… I have to say… nice rack. I didn’t know you had all of that,” said Lemon during his interaction with comedian Kathy Griffin, who had taken off her coat to reveal a purple bra during the celebrations.
Although Lemon’s co-host, Brooke Baldwin, tried to take his microphone away, the damage was already done. Twitter flooded his timeline over the sexual remark. Griffin on the other hand attempted to diffuse the painfully awkward moment. Soon after, snaps featuring the 49-year-old, glass in hand, began to surface on social media alleging that he was drunk during the live broadcast.
