Both Raven-Symoné and Don Lemon came under fire from the Black community again this week after comments they made about the Spring Valley High assault, in which Deputy Ben Fields assaulted a young Black female student for refusing to leave her classroom. Since then, Fields has been fired from his job, and now it looks like fans want Raven and Lemon fired form theirs as well.

This week, petitions were started on asking for both the removal of Raven from “The View” and Lemon from CNN.

A TV viewer from London, Che Scott-Heron, started the petition to give Raven the boot, which is titled “Letter to Barbara Walters: Petition to remove Raven-Symoné from The View.”

“Raven Symone has been spouting her ignorant and self hating spiel on the view for Long enough, from stating that she wouldn’t hire somebody for having a ghetto name, to openly complaining about reverse racism, the final straw was her comment about the recent viral video of the school police officer assaulting the student, where Raven-Symoné said, ‘get off your phone in school then. African Americans and Black people around the diaspora need a voice representative of their views and not a voice representative of what white people want us to say. We need strong black rolemodels in prominent positions on television an Raven Symone cannot provide that. That is why I ask that we petition to remove her from The View,” Scott-Heron wrote on the petition’s page.

Scott-Heron claims that she originally only wanted 1,000 signatures, but she ended up getting over 75,000 signatures in just a day. Now, Scott-Heron’s petition has over 83,000 signatures and her new goal is to reach 150,000 signatures for the petition.

Meanwhile, Raven isn’t the only one facing a growing petition to see her fired. Check out details about Lemon’s petition after the cut.

YOU SAID a mouthful…but unfortunately BLACK PEOPLE are more interested in continuing — BLACK ON BLACK CRIMES…

Raven Symone, should not have to worry about her JOB, based on her opinions.

GO AFTER them — Caucasians that want you deported “aka” put in PRISON.

smart, well stated and full of wisdom.

How about writing in English, not “Ebonics Lite?” Start your sentences with a capital letter, etc.

This woman goes against black groupthink sometimes and so some people want to get her fired. It’s just political correctness run amok. People have a right to speak, that’s what the First Amendment is for.

You are quite correct about that because, look at Elisabeth H-ASS-elbeck, she spent TEN years on the View, and watchers expressed our desires to have her fired within weeks of hearing her out-of-touch opinions!!!

    Stop watching

    • Carolyn on November 1, 2015 at 7:08 pm

You are absolutely right. If a show, or people on the show, offends you stop watching it. Shows continue based upon the number of viewers they have.

      • Naomi on November 3, 2015 at 1:43 pm

You don’t have to watch the show to hear about the bullshit Raven constantly spews.

be carful what bandwagons you jump on, signing a petitions to get someone fired because you disagree with their opinions makes you feel good and powerful but just remember who will they come for next, it might be you, because your opinions will conflict with others.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
