While he’s waiting to see if he’ll face any jail time in relation to his pick-up basketball game scuffle with an off-duty cop, The Game will definitely be coughing up some cash because of the incident.
A judge ruled against The Game in the lawsuit filed by Onyebuhi Awaji after the rapper punched the off-duty cop during a pickup game of hoops in March 2015.
Awaji filed both a civil suit and a criminal suit against the “100” rapper but Game never responded to the civil suit. Last month he plead not guilty in the upcoming criminal trial, but because of his failure to respond to the civil suit, a California judge has issued a $100,000 default judgment in favor of Awaji.
The judge awarded Awaji $60,000 in damages and $40,000 in punitive damages.
Game is due back in court to continue with the criminal case on January 11th.
