Get the scoop on Beyoncé’s next high-profile gig

Ring the alarm! Beyoncé has been tapped to perform alongside Coldplay during the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, reports Entertainment Tonight. Although there aren’t many details surrounding the anticipated event, rumor has it they’ll do a live rendition of “Hymn for the Weekend,” a single off of Coldplay’s latest album, A Head Full of Dreams, which features vocals from Beyoncé.

As previously reported, Super Bowl Halftime veteran Bruno Mars is also expected to perform during the show. If so, “The Lazy Song” singer and Mrs. Carter will join a short, select list of megastars who have played at America’s biggest venue more than once. Others include Gloria Estefan and Justin Timberlake. In case you forgot, this could be epic.

After all, the last time Bey performed (alongside her girl squad) she shut the house down … literally. The entire stadium lost power. Needless to say, fans and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin are all here for the collab. In a video interview promoting the show, he said, “It’s the greatest moment of our band’s life. We’re going to give it everything we have.”

“Today, it’s about how do we stage our special guests. Yesterday, what I was nervous about, it was all about the set list,” added the band’s childhood friend and artistic director Phil Harvey. In other words, Mars and Bey aren’t the only superstars that’ll be swinging by the show. Mark your calendars. Super Bowl 50 will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, airing live on CBS.
