Although rumors of a fling between Golden Globe winner Leonardo DiCaprio and “Diamonds” singer Rihanna have been running rampant for over a year now, sources close to the alleged couple say that Ri-Ri’s been heating up with a popular club owner and their “friend” DiCaprio is actually the third wheel.
On Feb. 20, 2015 the Up & Down club owner posted the above image cuddled up to RiRi at a private birthday bash in Los Angeles. And while original reports claimed that the Bajan beauty’s rumored boo Leonardo DiCaprio organized the shindig, sources at the time say it was “Richie [who] threw the RiRi party — not Leo.”
“If they’re not dating, they’re hanging out, you know?” a second insider said of RiRi and Akiva’s connection, reports the Daily News. Rumors of a DiCaprio and Rihanna budding romance began around New Year’s Eve 2014, when the Hollywood A-listers were photographed partying with friends in St. Barth’s. Though less recognizable than his famous friends, Akiva was also in attendance and appeared in several snaps which later surfaced on Instagram.
