Snoop Dogg’s Super Bowl week got off to a strange start. On Feb. 2, TMZ reported that criminals broke into Snoop’s parked SUV and stole laptops, suitcases and other items. However, Snoop denounced the report on Instagram and stated that he was not in the Bay Area during the reported car burglary.
Snoop eventually made it to the Bay Area shortly before his performance at The Regency Ballroom in downtown San Francisco. Along with Dogg Pound member Kurupt, Snoop hit the stage to perform songs from his extensive discography. Crowd favorites included, “Gin and Juice,” “What’s My Name,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Snoop also performed several B-side songs including “Lodi Dodi,” and “Tha Shiznit.”
Snoop ended his set with the Wiz Khalifa-collaboration, “Young, Wild & Free” and exited the stage to Bob Marley’s classic, “Jammin.” It was the first of several performances that Snoop will be a part of during Super Bowl weekend.
