Congrats are in order for bad gal Rihanna. After dethroning power vocalist Adele by topping the Billboard 200 with ANTI this week, the “Work” singer has added some major milestones to her already mega successful career.
According to her Instagram feed, RiRi has become the first-ever recording artist in RIAA history to be certified with 100 million song awards. “Thank you to my kill team, NAVY we’re the 1ST & ONLY in history to be @RIAA_awards certified with 100M song awards and….. #ANTI is PLATINUM! Thank u for the love! Glory be to God!!!” she wrote alongside a snap of herself seated in front of her plaque while holding a second award for ANTI, which was certified platinum just a week ago.
An enthusiastic Rihanna went on to thank fans via Twitter writing, “Navy y’all did this,” she tweeted. “FIRST & ONLY @RIAA certified with 100M song awards & #ANTI is PLATINUM!! Thank you for the love!”

As previously reported, on January 28 the 27-year-old released her highly anticipated eighth studio album, ANTI. Less than 24 hours later, the Barbadian beauty’s project was downloaded more than one million times by way of a free offer provided by Samsung. While those downloads weren’t counted by Nielsen, they definitely contributed to her latest accolade.

At the end of the month, she is set to embark on her ANTI World Tour, kicking off in San Diego. In the meantime, show Rih some congratulatory love in the comment section below.
