Ever since Lamar Odom nearly died last October when he suffered a drug overdose and several strokes, the Kardashian family has stepped up to the plate and has done whatever they can to keep Odom alive and in good spirits as he recovers from all of his injuries. For the most part, Odom’s once-estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, has been leading the charge in the Kardashian family to help Odom out, but new media reports reveal that her mother, Kris Jenner, recently took it upon herself to give Odom an expensive gift for his new home.
As previously reported, when doctors told Odom’s family that he’d suffered major physical damage and would need several months of rehabilitation to learn to walk, talk and function on his own, Khloe halted her divorce from Odom and vowed to remain by his side for the duration of his recovery.
After Odom was released from the hospital last month, Khloe leased a home in Calabasas near for her very own for Odom to stay in while he continues his recovery.
According to new media reports, Jenner and her famous decorator friend, Faye Resnick, spent Valentine’s Day at a furniture warehouse buying up pieces for Odom’s new home.
Sources say that Jenner and Resnick went to HD Buttercup in Culver City and that they spent around 4 1/2 hours in the store shopping for Odom. And just how much did they spend on Odom? Well, sources say Jenner and Resnick had a budget of $65K for furniture.
But what’s even more interesting is who footed the bill for the shopping spree. The sources say it wasn’t Jenner. Instead, they say it was Khloe who coughed up the $65K for Odom’s new home furnishings.
Clearly, Khloe has both a vested emotional and financial interest in seeing Odom become stable and healthy again. We just wonder if all of this time and energy is bringing back those old feelings of love Odom and Khloe once shared.
