Keyshia Cole’s estranged husband, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, has joined the ever-evolving cast of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.” According to recent reports, Gibson (who was bit by the music bug during his relationship with Cole) is pursuing his dream of becoming a rapper and has chosen VH1 as a vehicle to launch his career.
Gibson, who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers for seven years, is no stranger to reality TV. In fact, he starred alongside Cole on BET’s “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First,” which aired for only one season before getting the ax. But, when it comes to future reality TV endeavors, he seems to be quite hopeful, writing via Instagram, “When you know things are about to take a major turn for the better & you takes notes of whose [sic] with you & whose [sic] isn’t one last time.”
Also joining the cast is songwriter Lyrica, who has collaborated with many artists, including Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.
Meanwhile, Malika Kalysha, who is allegedly expecting a bouncing baby girl with rapper Fetty Wap, was said to recently have cameras rolling at her lavish baby shower, where things got tense over Fetty allegedly being a no-show. As previously reported, the “Trap Queen” recording artist has questioned whether or not he’s the father of Kalysha’s child. There’s even been gossip that the 24-year-old hip hop artist has no interest in being in the child’s life.
Rounding out the cast are LHHH veterans Miss Nikki Baby, singer Tierra Mari, Lil Fizz, Moniece Slaughter, Nia Riley, rapper Soulja Boy, on-and-off again couple Ray J and Princess Love, and publicist Hazel E.
