Bette Midler has turned her feud with Kim Kardashian into an opportunity to give back. On Sunday March 6, the reality star came under fire after sharing a nude snap via Instagram. “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL,” she wrote. Soon after, the mother of one’s timeline was flooded with a variety of criticism from stars including Bette Midler, Piers Morgan, Chloë Grace Moretz and Pink.
“Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.” Midler joked via Twitter; to which the Kardashian responded by calling the Hocus Pocus actress a “fake friend” before asking her to “send nudes,” herself. And while the singer has since claimed she wasn’t taking a shot at the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star; she simply needs to learn how to take a joke, it appeared Kanye West’s wife wasn’t buying it.

So, tagging Kardashian directly in a tweet on Wednesday night, Midler used Kim’s nude selfie to make a charity plea, “Put your selfie to work… for a good cause! Donate, RT, I’ll match $$ 2-1!” She included a link to Stages for Success, an organization started by Midler to “modernize outdated and dysfunctional public school auditoriums.”
.@KimKardashian wants me to send her my nudes! I’ll send them right over but the lighting’s bad right now since she threw all that shade!

Earlier that day, Midler responded to Kim’s request for nudes with a silly selfie, writing, “@KimKardashian wants me to send her my nudes! I’ll send them right over but the lighting’s bad right now since she threw all that shade!”
Meanwhile, Kardashian West addressed all her naysayers in an open letter about body-shaming. “I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime — and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?” Kim opened. Adding, “It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?! — I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago.
“I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
