It’s quite safe to say that Amber Rose has made the most of her fame since being thrust into the spotlight while dating Kanye West from 2008-2010.

Since then, the Philadelphia-born vixen has gone on to sign with Ford models, become a sought after spokesperson, start a clothing line, write a book, and appear in a number of films and television shows.

Last year the 32-year-old mother of one used her Funny Or Die short film called Walk Of No Shame with Amber Rose to promote her first annual Slut Walk aimed in part to bring attention to the unfair stigmas placed upon women in today’s society.

In a recent interview with Hustler Magazine, Rose goes into vivid detail about the first time she was slut-shamed:

“I was about 14. I was still a virgin, and me and my friends, we had just started kissing boys. I was making out with this boy I know in the closet, and he was like, ‘Get down on your knees.’ I was like, ‘Why?’ Because I just didn’t understand. I was so young that I didn’t get it. And he was like, ‘No, just get down on your knees. I’m telling you, I just got to show you something.’ And I’m like, ‘OK’ I get down on my knees, and he opens the closet door. All my friends are out there. And his d–k is out. In my face. It was pitch black. I had no idea. I think it was a sweatpants situation where it was (pulled out) quick. He opens the door and all my friends, everybody—it’s like a bunch of kids out there, and they were like, ‘Oh, my God, look, she was s–king his d–k.’ I was like, ‘No, I wasn’t. I swear to God. I wasn’t doing that.’ And they were like ‘Yeah, you were. It was in your face.’ I didn’t even know what was going on. I went to school, and it was horrible.”

Rose says the incident affected her deeply but she later learned to grow a thick skin. By the time her relationship with West had ended and he began dating Kim Kardashian, there wasn’t much that could be said about her that would hurt her. She said she was even able to laugh off Kanye’s infamous “30 Showers” comment:

“My ex slut-shaming me didn’t hurt me. I laughed. You got to laugh at that. That’s just ridiculous. It’s like, even if I had an STD, 30 showers will not get rid of it. Let’s be realistic, right?”
