On Thursday, March 17, celebrities gathered at Regal Atlantic Station to attend a red carpet advance screening with Ice Cube and Cedric The Entertainer for their upcoming film, Barbershop: The Next Cut. WVEE-FM’s Wanda Smith kicked off the screening, which included a special presentation from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, who honored the cast with the notable Phoenix Award for contributing to the growing Atlanta film community, as the movie was filmed in the city.

The screening was well attended by local celebrities, including Silento, Sheree Whitfield, Demetria McKinney, Derek J, Momma Dee, Gocha Hawkins, Beautti J, Kawan “KP” Prather, Edwin Jackson, Lavon Hooks and Chris Douglas of the Buffalo Bills.
