It was just over a year ago that “The Real” co-host Adrienne Bailon announced that she was engaged to Roc Nation executive Lenny Santiago and set to be married. However, cupid’s arrow didn’t quite do the job because by the end of 2015, Bailon was single and telling the world that she was enjoying life on her own. It looks like cupid’s arrow has struck the talk show host, once again, because she recently revealed that she’s got a new man in her life. Unfortunately, news of the new boyfriend comes with news of a related scandal as well.

Fans found out about Bailon’s new boyfriend, Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Israel Houghton, yesterday when media reports began posting photos of the pair holding hands and kissing while vacationing together on the beaches of Tulum, Mexico. However, it wasn’t long after the photos surfaced that some fans went from congratulating Bailon on her new romance to accusing her of being a home wrecker.

According to media reports, rumors began spreading that Bailon was the reason for Houghton’s 20-year marriage to his ex-wife, Meleasa Houghton, ending earlier this year.

However, Bailon responded to the rumors in a now-deleted Instagram post, explaining that they are bogus.

“Please don’t feed in to the lies. You can body shame me … that’s fine. But please don’t insult my character & my integrity. God bless. We should all instead of spreading lies and creating a circus … Pray for Brussells. God bless,” Bailon wrote.

And she wasn’t the only one challenging the rumors. Houghton also decided to speak out on his Facebook page, making a post in which he confirmed his new relationship with Bailon and explained she had nothing to do with his divorce. Read what he had to say after the cut.
